About the name
Ground mail.
Named for the footing, not the shipping speed.
Yes, we know what “ground” means at the post office. We picked it for what sits under your email: our own mail servers and our own IP space, run by people who know the mailbox providers by name.
- Your appPOST /emails, SMTP, or an SDK
- Groundmail APIValidation, suppressions, templates
- Our mail serversRun by our team
- Our IP spaceTransactional mail only
Why it matters
We own the ground your email stands on.
We run our own mail servers on our own IP space. That's what lets us keep the shared pool clean, offer real isolation, and stand behind the mail we send.
Our servers, our IP space
We run the mail servers and own the IP addresses your email leaves from. Reputation is something we manage directly, every day.
Isolation you can actually buy
Because we run our own mail servers and IP space, we can give you dedicated IPs, or a whole dedicated mail server, on the same API you started with.
The people who can fix it
When a mailbox provider pushes back, the team that runs the servers is the team you email. No ticket relay to someone else's support.
Run by people who've operated mail servers at scale.
Deliverability isn't a dashboard you buy. It's relationships and habits with the mailbox providers and blocklists that decide whether you land.
- Google Postmaster
- We watch reputation the way Gmail sees it, and know what actually moves it.
- Yahoo & AOL
- We've worked through sender requirements and complaint feedback loops firsthand.
- Spamhaus
- We've dealt with blocklist operators directly. We know how delisting really works.
Shared or dedicated
Dedicated IPs. Dedicated servers. Same API.
Start on our transactional pool. When your volume or your customers call for it, move to IPs that carry only your reputation, or a mail server that runs only your mail. We build, warm and manage it; nothing in your code changes.

Transactional only
We say no to marketing email. That's the feature.
Shared IPs get dirty when someone on them sends a blast to a stale list. We don't allow marketing or cold email on our IPs, at any price. So the neighbours your mail shares an IP with are sending the same kind of mail you are: things people asked for.
Read the acceptable use policy.
On our IPs
- Password resets and magic links
- Sign-in and 2FA codes
- Receipts and invoices
- Alerts and notifications
- Account and security notices
Not here
- Newsletters and promotions
- Marketing blasts
- Cold outreach
- Purchased or scraped lists

FAQ
Questions teams ask before they switch.
What does Groundmail do?
Transactional email: password resets, sign-in codes, receipts, alerts and other messages that have to arrive. Plus inbound email, webhooks, templates, automations, SMTP, SDKs for five languages, a CLI and an MCP server, on one platform.
What does it mean that you own the infrastructure?
We run our own mail servers on our own IP space, operated by a team that has run MTAs at scale and worked with Google Postmaster and Spamhaus directly. When something needs fixing, the people who can fix it are the people you emailed.
What's the difference between Pool, dedicated IPs and a dedicated server?
Pool is our shared transactional network: no marketing or cold email on those IPs. Dedicated IPs give your mail its own reputation. A dedicated server goes further: your own mail server and IPs, built, warmed and managed by us. Same API at every level.
Why don't you allow marketing email?
Shared IPs get dirty when someone on them sends a blast to a stale list. Keeping our IPs transactional-only means the mail next to yours is the same kind of mail: things people asked for.
Which languages have an SDK?
Node/TypeScript, Python, PHP, Ruby and Go, plus Laravel and Symfony packages. They all wrap the same REST API, so anything an SDK doesn't cover is one HTTP call away.
Do you support SMTP?
Yes. Connect to smtp.groundmail.dev on port 587 with an SMTP credential from the dashboard. Same verified domains, limits and suppressions as the HTTP API.
Can AI coding tools set it up?
Yes. Connect the Groundmail MCP server and an assistant like Claude Code or Cursor can verify domains, send test emails and check delivery for you.
What does pricing look like?
Free includes 3,000 emails a month once your domain is verified and a card is on file. Pro starts at $20/mo for 50,000 emails, Scale at $90/mo for 100,000, and a dedicated server at $299/mo.
How long until we can send?
Test sends to your own address work right away. For production, verify your domain's DNS records and add a payment method, then send within your plan's limits. Dedicated setups are scheduled with our team.
